Owner's Comments: If any casual observer, in a moment of excruciating boredom, has taken the time to read some of the comments attaching to my Registry Sets they might appreciate that although I contribute, and indeed thoroughly enjoy, participating in PSE's Registry Sets,I do not do so uncomplainingly. Here is another set with an inbuilt illogicality. Sc125, the 3c blue, is not recorded used without faults ie a copy worthy of grading does not exist - see Siegel's excellent census. So I asked PSE if an exception could be made. I possess an unused copy graded 90. Could not an exception be made for this particlar stamp? Could I not include this unused copy in my Registry Set - with an appropriate note naturally? The answer was no. It is rather like listing a space for a 24c inverted Curtis Jenny used for completion of the first used U.S. airmail set. We do not know for certain that a used copy does not exist (just as with a sound used copy of Sc125) - but common sense dictates that is probably the case. I bought the unused 125 for 'completion' of a sound used set. I believe it remain a good substitute worthy of inclusion. |
